WAR ON THE SHORE 2024
War on the Shore is one of the most prestigious tournaments in the state of Maryland.  With more than 20 teams competing this tournament, it is a great opportunity for wrestlers to demonstrate their skills, and wrestle other wrestlers with a range of skills.

2023 Varsity Schedule 

Varsity 

Weighins – Friday 2pm –3pm  - Grand hotel and SDHS – Varsity Only 

Wrestling Starts – 3:30pm Sharp -  

Round of 32 - on 5 mats – 3:30 pm 

Round of 16 - on 5 mats 

1st and 2nd round consi’s  on mat 5 starts at 6 pm 

Round of 8 – Quarterfinals – on 4 mats 

3rd round consi’s 5 mats to finish the night 

Saturday – Weighins 830-900 am- Grand Hotel and SDHS – team must weigh in where they weighed in on Friday! 

Semis on 2 mats in main gym 10:00 and finished around noon 

4th round consi’s - 12pm – 2pm

Consi quarters started on 2 mats at 2 pm 

Consi semis started on 2 mats at 3:30 pm 

7th & 8th started on 2 mats at 4:30 pm 

5th & 6th started on 2 mats at 5:30 pm 

Finals @ 6:00pm-  Finals mat 1 , 3rd place on mat 2– could move up if we are ahead of schedule!!! 


 

2023 JV Schedule 

JV does not weigh –in – coaches must submit a weigh in sheet to tournament director that is 100% accurate – wrestlers weight must be from Friday before tournament! 

JV rules – 4-8 man bracket- Madison Weights 

$20 per wrestler 

JV TIMES: 2-1-1

FRIDAY – ENTER NAMES / WEIGHTS INTO TRACK – by 6pm! 

SATURDAY – Enter SDHS no earlier than 7:45am. 

Wrestling starts 8:30 sharp – Don't be late or it’s a scratch 

Awards for top 3 in each weight 



Varsity Girls Tournament-  $20 per wrestler  

4-5 girl round robins – Madison Weights  

Weights must be submitted and be 100% accurate – weighins must be from the Friday before the tournament. 

Girls may wrestle on the JV and in the girls tournament. - matches will NOT be held for the 45 minute rule! 

Girls – starts at 2 pm – Don't enter building until 1pm. 

Awards for top 3 in each weight class.
